Seattle, Wa. – – Spin the wheel, slam the buzzer, crack the code, and break free -- Seattle, get ready. This fall marks the Pacific Northwest debut of The Escape Game and Great Big Game Show, two powerhouse immersive entertainment experiences from the same masterminds. Opening first at Westfield Southcenter with five escape games and two game show studios--and quickly followed by a second destination in Downtown Seattle--the dual launch promises to deliver nonstop thrills and adventure. Already, more than 1,000 pre-sale tickets have been claimed, underscoring the buzz. This marks The Escape Game’s 52nd location and Great Big Game Show’s 14th nationwide.
“Whether you’re racing the clock to conquer an escape room or chasing the win under the game show spotlight, these experiences are built to immerse, engage and entertain,” said Jonathan Murrell, co-founder and CMO of The Escape Game. “Seattle is the perfect community to bring these two concepts together for the very first time, and we can’t wait to see players embrace the laughter, connection and friendly competition our games are created to spark.”
Opening October 10, The Escape Game Westfield Southcenter will set the stage for the brand’s Pacific Northwest debut--delivering the kind of story-driven adventures that have earned more than 300,000 five-star reviews across 52 U.S. locations. Guests won’t just play a game; they’ll step into another world, surrounded by multi-room, movie-quality sets where every clue and detail matters. The Southcenter venue will feature five immersive games accommodating up to 44 players at a time, with 60-minute missions built to surprise and challenge. Guests can recover a Monet, stolen by a crooked museum curator in The Heist, work together to pass class in the Playground, uncover a dangerous plot from a supervillain in Special Ops: Mysterious Market, and stop a galaxy eating black hole in Cosmic Crisis, or hunt for ancient riches in Ruins: Forbidden Treasure.
The following week, Great Big Game Show invites players to live their game show fantasy in a one-of-a-kind, hour-long live-action game show. Two teams are put center stage in a battle of wits, speed and strategy, during which they will face off across 18 rotating mini-games. Under the lights of a classic game show production set, a live in-person host will lead the group through physical challenges, trivia and more. Spanning 3,831 square feet, the new location will open adjacent to The Escape Game at Westfield Southcenter with two studios hosting up to 14 players each. The interactive experience is family-friendly and recommended for ages 6 and up. As the final piece of the Southcenter launch, Great Big Game Show brings high-energy competition and spectacle, cementing the destination as one of Seattle’s most dynamic new entertainment experiences.
To celebrate the grand opening, Great Big Game Show will host a launch party days prior, where guests can compete in free 15-minute versions of the mini-games for a chance to be the top team and win $1,000. Guests can register for the launch party here to land a spot on the waitlist.
The expansion continues this fall in downtown Seattle, where The Escape Game will unveil five more escape games (for up to 40 players) and a second Great Big Game Show location. Stay tuned for more details at The Escape Game Seattle and Great Big Game Show Seattle.
